Would If I Could
My cozy apartment has horrible lighting. There. I admitted it. All we have are some bare bulbs that blind us from our squeaky ceiling fan and fixture. Oh— and my roommate’s lava lamp (no comment).
I think we probably need a floor lamp, so I am cruising the net for some inspiration. Besides the regular ole’ Arco lamp, here are two cool high-end ideas I found. (We have sort of a masculine look to our furnishings, so I thought they were industrial enough).

Italian
floor lamp
c. 1950
enameled aluminum, brass
22.75 w x 45 d x 72 h inches
Price: $3,500 (from Wright Auction House at wright20.com)
OR

O’Luce
floor lamp
Italy, c. 1950
brass, enameled aluminum, steel
36 w x 18 d x 64 h inches
Three independently adjustable arms extend and rotate allowing for multiple light positions.
Price: $5,500 (also from Wright20.com)
This is kind of a cheap and chic version of Arco meets Poul Henningsen:

It’s $80 at Target!!
Gotta work…more later…
